I need a little advice.

I have a couple fake / plastic plants in my tank and can't seem to get the algae off of them.

I also have a piece of fake coral to clean.

I have scrubbed them with a toothbrush.

Can someone please share some advice with me. I hope its easier than I am doing.

Thanks.

Agreed with Brian - my tank would grow a film of algae after about a week and a half, and the plastic plants were the worst to clean. I ended up removing two thirds of them because it was just too much work to clean them off.

Then I got a plec at our local PetSmart. That little bugger has been keeping my tank looking absolutely brilliant. In fact, I had a light coat of algae on everything when I put him in there, and he had it all cleaned up by the second day, including the plastic plants.

I'm going to be putting most or all of my plastic plants back in the tank.

As others have warned me, mind you, check on the adult size of whatever you plan on buying.
