i just bought an 84gal tank it's 6 feet long.what i'm wondering is how much is too much weight for a second story apartment.
by my estimations it should weight 900 pounds for everything, or 150 pounds a foot is this too much weight?i just don't want my tank to fall through the floor.i'v heard that most wood floors can hold up to 300 pounds per sq.foot.any help would be aprecieated.not that anyone cares but this is my last post for awhile i'm moving tomorrow.

Well this actually depends on the structure of your building and how old is it.  Some second story buildings have nice support beam that would withstand such weight.  Remember some people have waterbeds right?

You need to find where extra support would be found and it's usually near a wall or so rather than in the middle of the floor.
