how to make 55 gal tanks look awesome and bigger

*SUNSMILE*Hi my name is dave and i did this to my tanks.i moved them away from the wall 10 ins.---added a 1 by10 plank level with bottom of tank--bought plastic plants and artifical logs placed them on plank---pinned my picture background against wall behind plank added light on top of background..this makes the tank look a lot bigger and the fish stand out a lot better almost 3 dimensional.Just my idea and thought somebody might like to try it.

Just curious...how did you get the plastic plants to stay upright? Most of my plastic plants go all limp and hang if they don't have the water to hold them up.

Hi.this is Dave ,what i did was not buy the plants from a fish store but got them at a place that sells plastic plants for decorations and they all come with plastic stems that i drilled holes in the plank to put them in.try this believe me it does look awsome.
