I have a sump that i want to take the baffels out and redue em.. I got a razor blade and scraped all the big stuff off but theres a residue left on the glass.. Any ideas how to get it off?! Im about to try some paint thinner, but before i do i wanna get other options!

I wouldn't use paint thinner...you wouldn't want it to get absorbed into some of the other silicone. But, I don't know what to use...maybe vinegar or rubbing alcohol would loosen it up? Silicone is a pain to remove once it is cured.

I just tried rubbing alcohol, its not really doing anything either... I doubt vinegar would do anything.. I probably won't use paint thinner just the 1st thing i thought of

well a very small residual amount won't hurt anything other than esthetics.....I would make sure you have as much as possible off though using a good razor blade in a paint scraper kind of thing..
