Hello. I'm looking for online video or instructions with pics to do my own drilling and bulkhead with strainers insertions on my acrylic tank. The local pet store wants to charge me ALOT of money. I was told i could just buy a holesaw bit and bulkheads and have fun.... once done connect my fluval and start cycling.

No help, but maybe it'll keep you busy until someone who's done it before replies.

Search google for how to cut an acrylic fish tank. I know the glass tanks require a special hole saw, and even then you still chance cracking it if not done properly. (one of those, practice makes perfect deals.)

You just use a standard hole saw for acrylic. Just remember to keep your speed low enough that you don't start melting it. You want to keep enough pressure to have the bit "scrape" through it.

Where on the tank are you drilling?
