huge crack in 125!

great deal on 125G tank, but it has a huge crack on the back piece of glass, not on a seam. How difficult/possible is it to replace a whole sheet of glass? Or even removing the cracked piece? Can I do it without any special equipment? I don't plan on getting it unless I can put fish in it. Thanks!

It's doable, but probably more costly than it would be worth. Try calling glass companies and get a quote for the glass first, and then decide if it's really such a great deal after all.

I broke out the side on my 50 gallon long and replaced it no problem.
How much for the tank? I would think that not to many people would try to replace the glass so he will not have many interested buyers you should be able to get it for a good price.

well Its 100$ with some equip, and your right, no one wants to buy with the crack. I need to look into type/thickness/tempered glass.....

but it's been up for sale for awhile so if I am interested I think that I can talk him down

If your just lookin at the tank with no equipment. IT is way cheaper to buy a new tank. Specially if its glass.
