My Kribs just had their fourth spawn and I guess it is true that they get better at it as they go - this spawn is absolutely HUGE! There must be 60 or so. When the parents swim them around the tank it looks like a cloud is following them!
Kinda like Pigpen!
I'll post pics in case anyone is interested (if not, don't feel bad I'll post 'em anyway) when I get the good digital camera from work...I am continually fascinated by these kribs and their spawns!
p.s. I still have two from their last spawn although the new angelfish likes to hunt them down...I just took one out and put it in my 5 gallon Betta tank).
Edit just in case anyone is concerned that the Betta will try to eat him, heck, so am I, but I strategically placed a half dozen baby clam shells around the bottom of the tank with the shells pointed down, kinda like little tee-pees. The lil krib fry is a smart bugger as he took to the shells right away. Wish me luck! I hope he lives to be an adult, the only other successful fry I raised was one lone black molly in the 25 gallon brackish tank - still alive and kickin today! )
