Can I use the water that my humidifier pulls in? I tested it with a strip test kit and the parameters are:

PH: lower than 6.2
KH: Low or 40ppm
Hardness: Very soft or 2ppm
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0

do you mean dehumidifier? As far as I know a humidifier you put water into and it evaporates into your room. If its water pulled out of the air in your house, I dont think I'd want to use that water...you could see what it looks like when you add the mix and put it to the right SG and see what the hardness and ph are then... Personally I wouldn't want to use it.

I'm not sure what else to check. I know it was extremely soft and slightly acidic. Almost perfect for fresh water. I'm wonder how it would turn out after adding salt. I might have to test it out. I can put out at least 1 gallon a day and that's only because I need to empty it before it goes again. I bet I cloud get 3 or so gallons a day of water. It sure would be nice if it would work.
