I was wondering if it is possible to have hydra in an aquarium with salt in it. Both of my aquariums do have salt. I don't see why everyone hates them so much, I think they're neat. I'd rather have them than those annoying worms any day. I know they can kill fry but I don't have a single fish under an inch long.

I'm not good at linking, but I can tell you what a hydra is. They are small invertibrates resembling sea anenomes. I've read that most aquariums have them, but in unnoticable numbers. They can be introduced by getting new plants. If you have an infestation of them you should take it as a compliment. It means that the water conditions are good. Like I said hydra can kill and eat fry. Hydra can get to be about 3/4 of an inch long. There are many species of them. I've heard that you can cut a hydra's head in half and both parts will become seperate heads.
