Hydroids! *gasp*

Someone over at nano-reef.com said these look like brown hydroids and after a bit of research I think I agree. It seems they can be very pesky and pack a powerful sting. Should I remove them or do you think they will be ok since they are on their own little piece of rock in the middle of nowhere? Or do they spread/reproduce rapidly?

Any information is very appreciated ^^

I have them in patches all over my tank. They will irritate corals, and in my case I only remove the ones that have become problematic.
These guys don't rank too high on my priority list, so I generally don't worry about em.

I as well have a few... actually at first when I saw them a long time back I thought maybe they were aptasia, so I tried to joes juice them... this did nothing to them and after further inspection I noticed that they had a tubular base and were not aptasia so I have left them alone. I have a few more but have not noticed any harm to my reef due to them.
