I don't know what this is...

I have a little balloon molly....and it seems like his top fin has a white growth and puffy. I'm a bit panicky because he's one of my favorite fish and I don't know if it's contagious! My other fish seem okay. Any idea what this is and how to treat it? =/

A very fuzzy growth which projects from the skin or fins of the fish. Usually has the "fluffy" appearence of food molds, can be white or grey. Needs to be differentiated from "false mouth fungus" Columnaris (see above). True parasitic fungus prefers to grow on already dead tissue and will often coexist with bacterial infections.

so it's just a simple fungus? he won't die from it? Will it get to the other fish?
