I FEEL SO SORRY FOR MY BETTA !!!

He is frantically making bubble nests and there isn't anyone to have "fun" with him!!! It makes me want to run out and get him a female, poor little guy, but I know that wouldn't be the best idea I have ever had! It's quite interesting to watch how he is doing this.. He is darting all over his tank and then continues... Hmmmm Could this also be a sign of happiness?????

maybe...but gouramis and bettas sometimes dont play nice together...if you could keep an eye on the tank for a few days and be ready to move the betta back if needed i'd say go for it

Bubblenests aren't always a sign that they want to breed. My Koopa was making bubblenests and I had everything ready, since I was going to breed bettas anyway. Well I decided to spawn him and a female I had been conditioning, and he tore her up bad. I decided to try again with a different female...same thing. He didn't even BUILD a bubblenest in the spawning tank. Maybe your betta is just showing you that he is healthy and happy.

I hope so, he has clean water, a big rock to hide behind and in, and a couple of plastic plants!! He is beautiful I must say, blue, red, and a bit of purple... He eats well and a lot!! I have only had him since Thursday but already he knows who I am, everytime I sit down at my desk, he stops what he is doing and looks at me!! Then pretends he isn't doing anything!! It's very amusing!!

I didn't know fish could be this entertaining!!
