i got a severum!

well i did it i got a turqoise severum.it's a little bigger than a quarter.it's nice looking fish,real dark,big verticle bands and a full belly.wish me luck,i hope he works out

sev's are nice looking fish, but they get huge! a zoo near my house has one that is about 3 feet tall.

froggy as soon as i get a digital camera that works i would love to show you all my fish(as a matter of fact i have been wanting to for some time now)moricollins are you sure it was a severum?everything i have ever read shows a sev. at about 8 inches.

I borrow the one from work I need to do it again now that my tanks are somewhat settled.

I think its cool how all the fish you see in a petstore are within the same size...and then some of them just get HUGE. Like some cool little malawi haps I saw last week (THEY'RE PURPLE) get to be like 8-11 inches...and your little quarter sized guy is going to get huge too! Course then there's the opposite...I got some Ember Tetras last night and their adult size is under 1 inch

I got my gold severum when he was only the size of your little guy, now he's about 6-7 inches and one of the best fish I have ever kept, a hansome boy too!

mori, I also think you saw a pacu, or something like that...like the others said, sevs get about 8-9 inches.

Have fun with your sev. I love my trio. The bands will fade with age but they get this beautiful red color on their anal fin.

yup it's offical: i love this fish! i hate cichilds,why must they be such interesting fish.this sev makes my third cichlid and they are so much more interactive compared to other fish.i may be a cichlidiot yet.
