I got jewel fry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok i get home from school and run up to the tank, the eggs are gone "Great they never hatced" i said very angrily. But then as i was scanning the bottom, 80 fry come out of know were!!!*SUPERSMIL I have fry!!! I am so excited, now i just need the angels to ave fry, but my Q is when will the fry's sacks run out and what do i need to feed them??

:UPDATE: the female moved the fry to another spot and she is pregnant again this is so awsome

LOL it all depends on how many survive. If the 2nd batch survives, then i might sell some on here or aquabid or to one of my LFS.

I have no clue how much i would sell them for, but all i know is that i am going to have more eggs soon from both my angels and jewels

Pregnant is a term i don't like to associate with cichlids. Because technically they don't get pregnant. They don't raise their young inside....they lay eggs. How is she "pregnant" again...how can you tell?

I believe its about 3-4ish days until they absorb their egg sack. I'd suggest feeding then with either baby brine shrimp or very finely crushed flakes.
