we went to an new fish store the guy at petsmart recommended to look for ghost shrimp. it was so nasty in there we just turned around and walked out. i don't know how they stay in business. so we went back to the store where i got all my other fish. i got some rummys and pristilla's. there were just 2 black tetra's in with the pristilla's so i took them too. but now i am worried i am over stocked?

I'm unclear as to how many fish you have in there exactly now? For larger tanks like that it usually looks best if you focus on one large school instead of mixing up a lot of fish.

sorry! i didn't realize my signature was so confusing. i have five groups of five each tetras, one group of five cherry barbs two each of black and serape tetras and the snails. so 34 fish plus the snails.

the tank would look alot better if you focused on
one or twho schooling fish. it would look less messy
and more organized, ahah ;p but thats just my
opinion, i had a couple tetras and platties in
my tanks and took out the platties and get more
tetras, and to be honest, it looked so much better. ahah
:p

but you might be on the edge of overstocking, so just
try to maintain the tank clean with regular weekly water
changes.

I agree, your tank is a bit overstocked, I wouldn't add anything else. Also make sure you keep up with water changes and after adding so many fish, check the ammonia levels for awhile to make sure they don't throw the tank into a mini cycle.
