I have a new tank and Im not sure about the filter

I have bought a 2nd hand tank. It has a filter built into the lid and Im not sure all the bits are there. There seems to be no sort of filter at all, the water goes along a trough and turns a little wheel with some filtration on it....is this it or is something else supposed to go in the lid?

i think you have a simple bio-wheel filter and i think thats all there is but not positive. if you could post a pic it would help
oh and welcome to the tank

It sounds like it's an Eclipse tank. The pump is usually in near the intake tube, I think.
