Hi all,
I noticed last night that my platys had babies, I only see 2. I didnt realize that the fish was pregnant! Ive only had my tank about 5 months. Its a 10 gal. and theres now (with the 2 new ones) 11 fish in there, should I give some of the other fish away? Or will the tank be alright?

I have 2 adult platies, one zebra danio, 3 glass cats, one algae eater and 2 tiny tetra. And do I need to do something for the babies? (feed them something different).
Thank you!
Sherry

You should definately get a bigger aquarium for the glasscatfish and the algea eater which is probably a CAE or chinease algea eater. Glass catfish get to 5" and CAE's can get up to 12" +. So either they will need a bigger home or you can see if a petstore will take them for store credit or a trade for some other fish.

You should incubate the two baby's because one of the fish will make a meal out of them. And you should feed them live brine shrimp or crushed up flakes, food that will fit in their mouth.
