I have really fine white particles in my water?

I have only had my tank for about 2 weeks, and I am a novice fish owner. Can anyone tell me what this is and if it is harmful to my fish? If so, what can I do to get rid of it an dprevent it from happening again?

I doubt it is harmful to the fish. A water change should help.

I wouldn't worry about it for a few weeks, as your tank is new.

It might be from not rinsing the gravel good enought I had it too. I was in a hurry to get the tank set up I just poured it in.

do you have a air stone in the tank? if so, it sounds like micro bubbles.
i have the same thing, i get micro bubbles everywhere and it makes the water look cloudy.

if not do a water change and see how it looks.

In my case it was just air bubbles also. I got nervous at first but thats all it was. Take a real close look at it and see. If your still not sure take out a scoop of it with a cup and see if the bubbles disappear, then you will know.
