ummm you know when you stick your hand in a fish tank the fish usually swim away really fast and hide. Maybe you are blind and suffer from amnesia. If you look at the video again the discus actually comes to my hand. He enjoys all of that and lets me pick him up out of the water to check him out. He used to get a really bad reoccurring bacterial infection so I would periodically have to take him out and swab him with iodine and neosporin. Dont be mad because your fish are lame and mine are cooler.
Wow sphed.... that is harsh. Do you really think that your fish are cooler than Hers and have to put her down? C'mon, there are videos of peoples goldfish playing soccer! That is way cool! And you should of said in the first post that your discus had that illness and that is y you are able to do that insted of waiting for someone to say that and you saying they are blind and have amnesia. There was no need to say that stuff. And i bet that more people think that her oscar is way cooler than ur discus.And if ur discus wanted to be held, then why did it try to swim away from you and get stressed out? I hope you know that ur discus can get sick from loosing its slim coat.

o...and might want to pick up on your water changes or feed something different...they look a bit diamondish.

and dont diss on people because your a know-it-all. im sure anyone else here is as capable as you at grabbing their fish outta the water, yet your the only one so careless to.

Well i think that you are the blind one, cause you are obviously trying to take it out of the water when they try to swim away! IF YOU REALLY CARE FOR YOU DISCUS, I THINK YOU WOULD HAVE STOPED TRYING TO DO THAT AFTER FINDING OUT THAT THEY CAN GET ILL AND POSSIBLY DIE!!!!!!!!!! If you think that you are really playing with ur discus, do some studying and show that to those people who breed and keep them professionaly! If you want ur discus to be healthy and not die, then here is a couple of suggestions....
1. STOP TRYING TO TAKE THEM OUT OF THE WATER LIKE THAT!
2. Add some places for them to hide when there scared and stressed from you or something else
3. OR SELL THEM TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEM WITHOUT TRYING TO KILL THEM CAUSE YOU THINK THEY ARE PLAYING WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!

That video is of a 55 gallon tank and their is a piece of drift wood in left corner that they can hide behind when they are scared. Since they are always out begging for food whenever i come near the tank their was no need to show the driftwood since they are never scared and always come to the tank to see me. If they were scared of me then they would always be hiding and they would never come near my hand.

LOL ya i no nothing about discus! Ok dude, i know alot about discus cause i am smart enough to do some reserch! Wow, im surprised that they have lived this long without commiting suicide. O wow that little piece of driftwood really helps! Ur tank is bare and needs some more hiding places for ur dicus, if you look at there natural habitat, it has ALOT of hiding places, which ur tank is LACKING!!! If they always have there stress bars, then they are obviously stressed out!! They don't just bring them out for no apparent reason! So go get some more info and ask the experts if they have ever seen a discus have its stress bars out most of the time, when there not stressed.

Discus dont need a lot of hiding places. Lots of hiding places= lots of waste getting trapped in places you cant get to when doing water changes. Fish waste produces ammonia which is VERY toxic to discus. That is why people usually keep their discus tanks bare bottom or with very little things inside the tank so they can easily get rid of uneaten food and fish poop.

And plus you have an angel in there with the 3 discus insted of with your other angel. And if your tank gets durty, when you go to clean it, take the decorations out, clean them off, clean the ENTIRE tank, add the new water, and add the decorations. And im not an idiot, i know what ammonia is! And, no i have never kept discus before, but i plan on it, so what i did to make sure i have ever bit of information on Discus health, diet, etc, i made a folder with over 100+ pages of information. I actually get all the info i can on fish that i have never had before i go out and get them!
