i love my dojo

to get out of usacutie's thread... ill start my own about my favorite out of all of my fish. Mr. Wiggles is my dojo loach. my sweet and thoughtful bf bought him for me after the untimely death of my betta. he had no idea what he was starting. soon i had to get a bigger tank, and more fish to go in the bigger tank. and lets just say he created a monster. well many fish later, Mr. Wiggles is still my favorite. hes the loach in my avatar pic. any other dojo lovers out there?

is he albino bsmall??? i am looking for albino loaches now... hard to find them though. I love dojo and kuhli loaches. My first dojo loach just reached five inches this month

actually no, hes spotted. but in the picture i had him in my tropical tank and the higher temps made his spots blend in alot more. hes in a coldwater tank now and it looks like he has freckles all over. he was very happy in the community tropical tank, but he shows better color in the cold.

Aw, he's a cutie He does look happy! I don't have a Dojo, but I do have a Tiretrack Eel whom I've fallen in love with. Similiar to a Dojo... right?

practically cousins im sure! hehe. i think its the spaztic personality that makes them so much fun. mine practically dances around the tank when i come back from class, hes always checking things out. he has more personality than most cats i know!

If I ever get a large enough tank, a Dojo will be on my list, I've always thought they were so cool looking.

My eel knows when it's time to eat; he pops his little head out in a certain spot and waits for me to feed him! He's giving me the look right now actually...

I'm thinking of getting a pair of dojo loaches. I read their profile and it says that the minimum aquarium size is a 20 gallon aquarium. Is it true? Don't they get big? I have a 29 gallon aquarium that needs some stocking and I'm hoping I have enough for a pair..

mine is about five inches, hes a cute little bugger. you should definitely get a pair, they play tag and chase each other around the tank, its a blast to watch!
