Hi. I have this little retarded :p sponge filter that does not stay down. It's triangle shaped. I don't know the "real way" of keeping it down. Right now i'm just using gravel to hold it down but it looks stupid having an 8 inch pile of gravel in the corner of my 10 gallon tank. Any help would be great. Thanks. O yea, while I'm at it.....I was wondering how people got those cartoon-like fishes to be under there name when they post. I'm new here. ~~~Joe

Those "cartoon fishies" are avatars. Go to messageboard, then user cp, then edit options. It will appear under edit options. Since you have over 5 posts you just go browsing along on the internet for one that fits the qualifications. then enter it in (save it on your computer) hope that helped ya

what do you mean i can put marbles on the bottom of the filter? I dont think i was perfectly clear with my description so i'll try it again.

It is a triangular corner sponge filter. It has no base. the part it rests on (the bottom) is the sponge that floats like a mofo.

so therefore i need to put something on top of it .....or stick to the bottom of it and "connect" it to the bottom of my tank ( which i'm not gonna do cuz im not gonna ruin my tank. )

Are these types of sponge filters meant to be under the gravel, or above the gravel? Thanks ~~~Joe
