i need help with starting saltwater

well i have been keeping african cichlids for a few years now and i would like to try a fish only or fish and invert tank i want to use an existing 30 i have for freshwater. but i dont want to have to get too spendy. any suggestions or just want to talk about my many cichlids please reply.*celebrate

i have a 47gal using a canister filter (marineland 360 series)..and a bak-pak protien skimmer... works great for my fish only tank... also have 20-30lbs. of live rock...

Check out some of the stickies at the top of this forum - they have a lot of info about startup and pretty much everything you need to know. A 30g is a nice size to start off with. If you've got any specific questions after reading the stickies, ask away
