i screwed up

i decided to swich from goldfish to minnows for feeding my RBP's. i would usually quarentine them for at least 3 days and treat for ick and parasits. apparantly minnows and jungle ick cure do not mix. it toasted them all in 10 hrs.*thumbsdow are there any ick cures that the minnows can withstand aside from the salt and high temp method?

I read that Jungle Ich Guard contains salt which may have been what got your minnows. I think Jungle Ich Guard II is for scaless fish and should be safe. Or maybe try copper?

I doubt it was salt that killed em. I would actually just reccomend using salt instead of ich meds.

All the sites I checked said that salt is deadly to minnows...

Feeder minnows are fairly hardy (hence their use as feeders).

Truly, long term salt exposure would be a bad thing, but feeder minnows would have no problem with a little osmotic pressure during their fairly short lifespan.
