I think fuji is suicidal..

The other day we came home and i turned the betta light on only to find fuji (our beautiful blue betta) up on top of the Styrofoam cup we had in there (for his nest). He was lying on top of it!! It freaked me out, i called for hubby and by the time he got in the room he was back in the water..

I am starting to wonder if poor fuji doesn't want to commit suicide lol

Strange... I have the cups in my tank to, but my acrylic cover is ontop so there is no space. Maybe Fuji is trying to jump over it? A future Olympian?

I imagine he can wiggle himself off if he does not like it up there? Wow, bettas are weird sometimes eh?

i was wondering why you need a cup in the tank.
are they going to make nest only when they're breeding?

Yes he was making his nest in the cup.. He makes a nest all the time lol. Now he's alone again and still making the nest..

Casper only makes nest when he saw a female
And he also destroys his nest when the female doesn't show interest towards him...
