I think I have cotton mouth

Can someone help me. Last night my 1 black molly started swimming at a 45 degree angle (back end down) and she started getting grey in areas all over her body. This morning she died. And now tonight the 2nd black molly is doing the same thing and I have noticed that all 4 bloodfin tetras have what appears to be a cotton looking mouth. The bodies also look like you can see thru them with specs of gold and sliver. They also look like they are bleeding around the eye area. Do you have any idea what might be wrong with my fish and my tank? And how do I fix it?


Other notes: 20 gallon high tank with an Eclipse 2 lid with bio-wheel, plastic plants and 2 pieces of drift wood.
Current fish in tank: 4 bloodfin tetras, 2 african dwarf frogs, 1 powder blue dwarf gourami, 2 black mollies. I do have salt in the tank water.

I did cycle the tank completely. Slowly I have been adding fish and Monday I added the 2 black mollies. After adding them the tank went from 0 nitrite to .5 nitrites with 0 ammonia. Even after a 25% water change on Tuesday & again today the nitrites are still .5.

Yea you have cotton mouth, you'll want to pick up some fungal eliminator, You might want to change 25% of your water again before treating, remember to remove your carbon from the filter, the grey spots, cotton like substance , and red eyes, would suggest that you have a pretty serious infection. I'ld remove the frogs and anything other scaleless fish you have in your tank pror to treatment.

Personally if it was my tank I would probablly put in a little more than the required dose. you have some reall sick fish. Keep medicating, and changing 25% water every other day.

Sounds like the mollies were probably infected when you put them in. Good luck.

Thank you for the info, sailfinmolly! I didn't see your message before I purchased the Fungus Clear tabs. I already put the tabs in the tank yesterday and didn't remove the frogs. Should I get them out now? Also, the instructions only tell me to do a water change if I need to do a second treatement. What if I don't need to do a second treatment (I am hopefull that one treatment will work), should I still do a 25% change on the 4th day? When can I start feeding the fish again?
