i think my betta has fin rot ??

My bettas fins used to look great. Then they started to look torn. Now they look black at the ends and are getting shorter every day. I think my betta has fin rot. If not tell me what he has and how can I treat him.

Water changes. Bettas get fin rot from living in yucky water. Also Bettafix can help too. You can find that at a petsore. Do you have a heater in the tank? Warm constant temps help keep bettas happy. Fluctuating temps weaken the immune system terribly.

Without a picture it's hard to suggest that the issue with your betta is anything besides fin rot. But if it is fin rot then I would follow RexyTexel's advice.
