I have a brand new 15gal tank that is not completley cycled yet (its 1 week old). One of my tetras died the day after I got it and i noticed that it had ich. So I treated with Coppersafe. But by evening my second tetra died. The rest of my fish looked fine so I figured that the coppersafe was working. About 4 days later (lastnight) I noticed my molly now has ich. I added some more salt because my salinity was down (and ive heard it helps with the ich as well). What should I do now to get rid of the ich? I also had a guppy in there who died last night. But didnt seem to have ich? Is it ok to do a water change on an uncycled tank? Should I go get some better ich medicine? Anything else?
My levels as of last night were:
ammonia: 0.5 - 1.0
nitrIte: 0
nitrAte: 5-10
ph: 7.2
salinity: .08 - .1
And right now there is a black molly, a dwarf gourami, and an algae eater in there.
