ich and finrot.

in my 55g i have ich and finrot going through it. my big molli who ive had for a year has finrot the worst. hes a lyretail and his tail is disenergrating. im close to tears because i feel like its something i did.
i will get readings tonight when i get home.

but i was wondering if a 90% WC would be any help at all...

Get your readings, turn up the temp. The tests will let you know if a wc is in order.

meh well irealized that it isnt finrot like i feared. after a year i am loosing him....one of the oldest fish i have. he has dropsy...i did a 90% water change...and i had my hand in there and he swam a bit torest in my palm...he just kindagave up it seems. it tries to swim every now and then...

and the ich is only in the swordtails that were moved, so i think the stress caused it. but it hasnt spread yet and hopefullythe WC and raised the temp.

Aww sorry fuzz.. I hate dropsy..Ive had that twice with my favorite female guppys.

If you caught the ich early , you have a really good chance of getting rid of it. I like the salt and higher temp method.
