my fishes are recovering from ick at this time and i noticed 2 of the fishes that didnt have ick now have fins that look like they were in a fight. i never seen any of my fish nip at each other except the puffers but the only fight among themselves is this a stage of ick? or is this somethign else? btw one of the guys with damaged fins seems to be breathing heavliy? i dunno he's opening and closing his mouth rapidly (i think he's a gonner) anything i can do or recommendations?? thanks

What are the tank perameters? The breathing heavily could be a sign that their isn't enough oxegen dissolved in the water, either from the temp being too high or there not being enough airation. Does he also gasp at the surface? The tattered fins doesn't sound like ich, more like fin rot. What are you using to treat the ich?
Not sure of the parameters im at work right now. I do have an air pump in the tank and have been changing about 25% of water each day. since the ick broke out. he doesnt gasp at the top of the tank just kind of sits in the middle near the 3 other guys that ich its like the quarntined them self in this one area. he doesnt' even school with the other cardinals anymore. I was using salt at first the about 2tablespoons per gallon. read that in the sticky and seemed like it wasn't doing anything but making my fish go a little irratic so i gave in and bought some meds at my LFS and the ick significatnly decreacsed away the next day. I'm still gonna used the meds for another few days and see what happens and see if the guy is alive when i get home tonight.
