I have already lost a couple of guppies due to the ICH and don't wanna lose anymoer. I have tried the super ICH but it hasn't been successful, so u can give me some advise on ways of treating ICH PLEASE!!!!!! do so.

First of all, 20 adult guppies in a 10 gallon tank is way to many. I wouldnt do more than 6-8 adult guppies in a 10 gallon. Move the fry to another tank if you want to try to raise them, otherwise a few will most likely get eaten. As for the Ich....I left a post on your other thread about how I cure ich.

good luck!

Lots of water changes, stop buying more fish... Proper Quarantine procedures for new fish... And split up the males and females so you don't suddenly end up with 2000 fry in the bottom of that tank...

i'd try to give away some fish... your lfs might take some... i started out with three guppies in a two gallon and went up to twelve with a pregnant female!! I transfered them to a five gallon, but they all died because of the atrocious water quality in the 2 gallon and good water quality in the five gallon... i was a newbie and no one told me how to acclimate them into a new tank... the guppies will live, but the water quality will get bad, so yes, do moree or bigger water changes. are there more females than males? There should be a 2:1 ratio females: males so the females don't get worn out because male guppies are ALWAYS horny! lol!

With that level of overstocking, you should be doing at least 25% daily, watch your nitrates, they'll be a good indicator, try to keep them under 100ppm (Under 50 is even better). Also keep an eye on your ammonia (you only want to see 0.0) and nitrite (also 0.0).

If you do see any more babies, don't try to save them, let them be born in the tank (don't use breeding traps) At least your population will be under control...

I thought you said you had a 10g fry tank that was currently empty?

Oh salt, any non-iodized salt is good, some use water softener salt, some use pickling salt, I use freshwater aquarium salt (seems to disolve better and quicker)

oh and I do water changes every week with water that has been treated with water conditioner, and now that I bought an air pump I will be leaving it in there as well overnight:)

p.s I read in a book that I would need a 10 or 20 gallon to successful raise my fry. I'm making this my hobby as u can see, and I have a fish store around the corner that's willing to buy healthy guppies from me:)
