raising temp and garlic really haven't been proved to do much. take every fish out of the main tank and put in a QT, treat with copper and hypo, leave main tank empty for alteast 6 weeks.

calm down. You gave good advice. Im just giving some opptions. not everyone has a QT available. and all I can say is that raising the temp and feeding garlic actually did work for me. It may not work all The time.*PEACE!*

Copper and hyposalinity are the only demonstrated cures. Garlic did not work for me, nor has it been demonstrated to.
Metronidazole is less than 50% effective.
Freshwater dips are ineffective - the parasite survives longer than the fish. And cleaner crabs, wrasse, only eat the visible scabs left by the parasite not the offender itself.

Personally I like to run copper in a very simple QT style tank - see the qt sticky at the top of the page.
