thought she was a rusty cichlid, but i am thinking otherwise now. more yellow is coming out in her now then yesterday

oh and yes i do know i have a better picture of my kitchen then i do my fish

Looks like a rusty in shape, and color pattern...though i've never seen a rusty's body that light and yellow that strong/bright before. I'm tempted to call it a rusty hybrid.

It is holding though.

yeah its holding, has fin rot to go with that aswell.

so it is a rusty cichlid. i wasn't sure because of all the yellow. Yesterday had more of the burnt red color in her but that disappeared today.

Well i wouldn't put money on that in vegas, still unsure....it just resembles a rusty to me...in some ways. Color can fade in and out depending on mood so i can't say for sure. But that yellow is defienently like no rusty i've ever seen....which has me wondering.

Look up L. hongi...I don't have any experience with them myself, so I don't know what the females look like, but males have a similar appearance. Or a L. perlmutt.

ok, ID confirmed, it is a hybrid. Kinda sucks, but she is still a cool looking fish. Probably a mix between a rusty cichlid and maybe a yellow lab (hence the yellow?) or maybe a lombardoi and yellow lab?
