I read from a local (Sg) forum that some cichlid owners tried the 'Chinese Seaweed' as a supplement occassionally.
After feeding my fish with the same pellets and flakes after 2 months, I decided to try what the others did.

These are DIFFERENT from the Japanese Seaweed that we see in the 'Oriental Food' Section from the supermarket, which you use for making sushi. Those are normally salted and seasoned with chilli and MSG.
I tried the ones imported from China which are not salted or seasoned weekly. These dried seaweed has to be soaked (in water) for 5 mins before cutting them with sharp scissors into really small sizes (5mm since my fishes are almost less than 3'') The fish usually snap them up quick. Of course, these are just an 'oriental' treat from the locals here, NOT a staple! You may find them in your local Chinese grocery shops from Chinatown?
