sorry no pics and i know that makes it impossibly hard, but i just bought fish from a pet store and all it said was assrt. african cichlids. I have one a deep blue a white one with brown spots and an albino one that looks alot like the dark blue one. Any help would be great. also they seem to eat my gravel.... or at least chew on it?

Best guess without a pic, knowing what the "assorted africans" tanks usually stock - blue one M. callainos (cobalt zebra), spotted one a N. venustus (gets too big to live in anything less than a 75gal tank, may want to rethink it if it actually is that), and the white one an albino P. socolofi. All very common. You can look around for pics to see if they match, or better yet, try to get pics up of your fish on here.

I wouldn't know what they were even if you did post pics ;) I do know however, sometimes you get surprises out of those assorted tanks. I got a couple out of them and they completely hanged. I had a 95% yellow lab, and he turned dark purple with white and black strips.

And "eating" gravel is fine. I have a video I need to post as soon as I get my computer working again (my one at home with all my stuff broke) of one of my guys doing some construction (not to be confused with destruction) in the tank.
