Just found a baby in my big tank. The only concern that I have is that the only inhabitants are a Livingstonni, a Venustus and a common pl*co. The baby, only one that I have seen, has the spots just like mom the Venustus. He's only 1/2" or less. Any concerns about this? Should I QT him or just let him stay in and see if he survives? Will try to get a pic of him if I can.

Well, if there are lots of rocks leave it, and let nature do it's thing, if you really want to keep it, take it out.

If you also have female livinstonis and venustuses in the same tank I would be concerned about hybridization

I got these two long before I knew anything about size and tank reguirements so don't yell too much. The tank is half the size it should be 46g BF, Hence the reasoning behind why there is only these two in there. Hybridization is the reason I'm concerned with only these two in there. Yes, there are plenty of rock to hide in where these the two can't get.
