I'm redoing my 29 gallon and need ideas for what to add next

I now have 2 honey gourami, 3 x-ray pristella and 5 neon tetra in my 29 gallon tank. In another week or so if my water parameters are good I'd like to add some different. My main concern is that everyone get long. My gourami are doing fine with the tetras so far. I'd like something that likes the middle to top. I'm not thinking of adding any bottom feeders for at least another month, since the tank is on the new side.

I'd appreciate any and all comments. Thanks!

I personally am an Angel kind of guy. I think a pair of Angels would look good, but the only concern here is space for them to grow. Maybe something along the lines of German Blue Rams or Kribensis. Or if you do want angels, stick with one for now until you get more space. Any pictures?

Rams can get flaky and die if the water isn't aged. kribs would probably be okay. Only 1 or 2 though.
