Gumpy, you were a great fish. Its almost a year to the day since you left for the great aquarium in the sky. As a kissing gourami, you were always ready to love...or fight, what ever that kissing stuff was about. Watching you wither away slowly, know there was nothing I could do for you was very hard for me. But I know you lived a very long, and very happy life, and that it was just your time to go. I miss you Gumpy, with all my heart!

VIVA LA GOURAMI!!!!!

Love,
Christina

Yeah, I was pretty bummed because he was my first fish in a 10G tank. Then he wouldn't stop growing...he got a lot bigger than the guy at the pet store said he would...3 or 4 inches bigger. So I gave him to a friend with a 55G, and she told me after he was transplanted that he wasn't going to make it. He just kinda...gave up. We couldn't find out that anything was really wrong with him, or the tank. He just went to the bottom and didn't move until all his color was gone and eventually he was dead. Poor guy. Gumpy's the reason I am in the hobby anyway. And kissing gouramis are pretty cool fish, but if you ever think of getting one, they get BIG so ya know!
