I use wild almond leaves (ketapang) to condition tank water for bettas. I leave the leaf in for approx. 5 days and then take it out. It releases tannins and minerals into the water. My bettas seem to like it. Lots of Asian breeders use wild almond leaves to condition the water and to stimulate breeding (I don't breed).

You can order them over the internet, try www.ebetta2u.com or www.majesticbettas.com

what do they do?
what they do is the minerals in the leaf can help bettas from having diseases, and also helps them breed better than justusing a regular styrofoam cup. it is also a base for the male betta to blow his bubble nest
and does anyone here have any?
yes i have 3 left but i am using one of them which means i have 2 extra and 1 using
how do u use them?
its really easy, all you do is just place them in the water and soak it for a bit and let it float while later on the male will build his bubble nest.
