internal driftwood filter?

i seen one that was supposed to be coral that didnt look to bad like plastic but yes i agree on the driftwood one, the colors were a little to bright, maybe if u got some moss growing on it or something? im thinking about trying one, but to be honest, i have HOB's on all my tanks but my 10 and it has a sponge, and my 10 looks the best of all of them, i might be sold on sponges.

I've seen those somewhere and I can't remember where.

To me it seems more of a gimic, but granted it's a neat idea. My biggest problem with one of these would be the same with any internal filter. More difficult for maintance.

Yes, since there is an internal filter it is a bit of a pain, I've got a Fluval canister on my 37 that I just love... It also takes up some room but that's not such a bad thing as it breaks up the sight lines and allows for separate territories.
Actually you can see the lift tube for a HOB filter in the right corner and a temp probe just to the right of the log, I forgot about those until I took the pic. The heater and the main filter are in the log.
