So I've had two Irredescent sharks in my 20 gal for about a month to 2 months and they've been doing fine. However last night when I got home my Albino shark was floating.

Ok it was dead no big deal, however right behind it's head there was like a big bump like a bubble like something exploded in it's body. It was in one piece however it was a big bubble.

Normally I don't care when my fish die, like it's a big deal, however I was wondering if anyone knows what the heck the bubble was?

Any help or Ideas would be great.

Thanks

Your gonna want to get those id sharks outta there to. Theyre gonna get WAY too big for a 20 gallon. No-one is trying to attack here, its just not pleasing for them to see someone saying that they dont care about fish when they die, because the people on this board have very very big viewpoints on things like that.

Ok everyone back off.... I didn't mean it like I'm a heartless fish owner. I do care about my fish, but the world goes round and life and death are part of it all. So I'm not gonna dwell on the fact that it is dead that's what I meant.

How can you not care when a fish dies? I have had my id sharks for six months and i'd be horrified to find one dead..

(Please don't try to tell me to move my sharks - i'm working on it lol)

If you can better describe the bubble maybe we can better help you....

I usually hate it when people tell me to move my fish but in this case I have to ask a question..

Now keeping the general rule of thumb (for small community-type fish (under 2 or 3 inches) is no more than one inch of fish per gallon of tank) in mind, wouldn't nmtuna be keeping too many fish in this 20 gallon long?

I was thinkin the same thing!! Even taking the ID sharks out I'm pretty sure its very crowded in there...and will probably get more crowded as they all start to grow...there are also 2 plecos in there.

HOPEFULLY tuna is planning on moving about half of them into the 46 gallon tank they have cycling right now....
