Is 600 gph 2 much for a return pump on a 55

Ok found a overflow for a fraction of the price it should be. But it's up to 600 gph..so i need a return pump that should handle that (seio). 600 gph is for 90+ gallons. There's no smaller overflow box for this price and tomorow, it'll be too late 'cause they're almost out of stock.
Is it 2 much for my 55 gallons?
With a 300 gph i could go with a ac802 ( now 70 ).
Is it worth the extra money on the real return pump?

i'm gonna go 600 on my 29 gallon and divert the flow from the return line into various directions in my tank--i would say 600 gph is probably about right for you (i need the added circulation)
