Is a fishbowl suitable for my little goldfish?

Having kept several little goldfish inside a small fishbowl. I always worry about them, don't know how long I can keep them in a such a little place. Does a fishbowl need decorated with colorful lights which beneficial for the fish? If I change the fishbowl to a tank, should I spend a lot of money to buy some led to my fish?

A fishbowl is never an appropriate tank for a goldfish.

Goldfish are a species of carp which can (and will, given the correct environment) grow to nearly a foot in length. They require either a very large tank, or a pond.

The only thing I would keep in a bowl is plants, nothing else.

You are pretty much killing them. You should at least use a 20 gallon with a filter and heater or even better a 30-40 gallon.

You need a minimum of 20 for the small breeds but IMHO is should be 30-40G. I kept three in a 125G.

Gold fish are cold water fish so a heater should not be necessary. My gold fish stay out all winter.

Led lights

Does a fishbowl need decorated with colorful lights which beneficial for the fish? If I change the fishbowl to a tank, should I spend a lot of money to buy some led to my fish?

In a fish bowl it wont make a difference if you have a light or not but in a tank if you want LED lights get a tank with tthem. It may be a little bit more expensive. Personally right no I have a tank with LED lights and regular lightsand I see no difference except the LED lights have a nightime moon light.*SUNSMILE*

Most LED's that come with a freshwater tank are not going to be anything that more colorful then a Florescent tube bulb. For colors to pop out you need LED's in the mix of 12,000K to 19,000K and then one blue 455nm LED for every 7 of the 12,000-19,000K LED's. The Moonlights do look pretty kewl though.
