my G/F has a HUGE chunk of alabaster from he sculpture class, and she would love an excuse to carve some kool stuff for my tank if I gave her the oppertunity. I just would like to know if anyone has used it before to good effect? this will be for a 10-30 gal freshwater.

Thanx to all!

it wouldn't be poss to sculpt it then varnish it...poss. not...
the varnish could leech...

wot about sculpt it...cover it in a thin wax coat...
make a silicone mould of it...
