O.K. 3 days ago I noticed 1 white spot on my dempseys
tail, it was located on the very top edge of his tail.

It was gone yesterday.

Now today he has 3 or 4 white spots on his pectoral fins and 3 on the main section of his tail fin. Also a couple on his caudel fin, none on his body.

He is also brushing up against and off of some of the rock formations in my tank.

None of my other fish are sowing any signs of ich, or different behavior.

If this is ich what do I treat the tank with, I have clown loachs in this tank also and have been led to believe I can't treat ich with just any medication with them in there. Moving them is not an option....

I have not added any new fish for quite some time, and do water changes 3 times a week.

Help please......

It sure sounds like ich to me. The method of treatment that I prefer is to add 1 teaspoon of salt (regular table salt or salt for freshwater aquariums--do not use salt intended for marine aquariums) and raise the temperature to 84-86 degrees for 10 days to 2 weeks.

Well I decided to go with Rid Ich Plus,it specifically states it is safe for scaless fish, It contains formalin, malachite green.
I have raised the temp. to 80+ so now we just wait.....
