When I moved I noticed that my silicone is uneven on one side. I never paid attention before as it's on the back and below the gravel, but now I'm worried it's damaged from the move. It doesn't seem to leak any (could it?). Should I get it redone? Is this normal?

Thank you!

if i fill it outside how long do you think a decent leak test would be? couple days?

I know it's an oldie by now, but I still remember my HOT magnum 90 filter doing a decent job. Is that really okay for a 35 gal or should I try something more?

a hot magnum would be fine filter wise.

A good leak test would be around 3-5 days to be sure it can hold (or if your really worried you can use it as an excuse to upgrade to a bigger tank :D)

Well... how bad is it if the black plastic trim is cracked? Not sure how it got that way but i did notice it cracked. I put a little water in the bottom and it's not leaking... It didn't leak outside when i had it full for 4 days but i dont remember seeing the crack before then.

What does the black plastic thing do, besides protect the edges of the glass from getting chipped?

Umm... looks nice? As far as I'm aware, it has no real purpose besides protecting the corners. Correct me if I'm wrong...
