no (i have done that to a betta bowl when i was 12 and killed my 2 year old betta *thumbsdow )
i just wanted to know if theres any way to measure it. I add a teaspoon of aquarium salt every time i do a partial water change (every week now) but i dont want to overdose like you mentioned. but i know i NEED to get some salt in there since its gonna be a swordfish tank.

i know its not that necessary but it would help them imho

as long as you follow the directions on the box you should be good. For example salt shouldnt be needed to be added over time unless a water change occurs- it cannot evaporate out of the water. taste it- is it salty :p

haha it tastes normal (you coulda meant it as a joke, but some people seriously do taste it to be sure)

i know i only add a little (less than directed) when i do partial water changes.

so is the taste test the only way lol?
