Is this ich?? (picture)

Is this white spot on my cory's tail ich? This isn't good...I am going out of town for the weekend and I leave after getting home from work today!

looks a bit to large for ich (looks like grains of salt from what I've heard)

Is it fuzzy? Maybe some sort of infection?

Most likely not ich. THe one time i had ich they were like grains of salt as previously mentioned. THey almost looked like CO2 bubbles, which sometimes stick to the fishes' skin/scales.

Could be some other form of nasty, but not ich. Maybe he's just going through puberty...

It's not really too fuzzy looking. It's so small it's really hard to get a good macro shot through the aquarium...it's looks like the head of a pin attached to his side. I'll see if it's there when I get back home this afternoon...

for sure its not ich, but does look like either a fungus or a wound. Clean your tank before you go tonight, and you should be able to wait till monday to start medicating it (if needed)

It seems pretty localized with definite outline. IMO it's a wound of some sort.

Yeah I think he's the only fish who survived from my tank accident, and I think he's a little brain damage...most of the time he's normal but sometimes at feeding time he'll start spasming all over the tank. I'm guessing he probably scratched himself against a rock or slate or something....

About a month ago (maybe more) I used a grocery store sponge in my tank. It killed everything in it...1 panda and 6 neons didn't make it, but this one panda survived. It took him about a week or two to recover. So I think it probably got some brain damage...he's been doing this ever since.

Hmm...he's not looking too healthy this morning. I turned on the light and he's kind of lying on his side towards the back instead of next to the other cory, and when I put the food in the other cory woke up but the one with the white spot hasn't moved.

The white spot is starting to go away so I don't know what's wrong w/ him...

Well the little guy didn't make it. Back to the LFS today...the only thing I can think of is he was just brain damaged from the accident a few weeks ago.

I decided not to get any more fish...so we'll see how the remaining one does by himself...
