I've been doing some research on the Socolofi (a great looking fish!*thumbsup2)

I've read that they are not picky about what they eat............. but are Socolofi's the type of African Cichlids that can't have too much protein in their diet? Or is ok to give them a varied diet?

I was also wondering........ are they hardy/easy to take care of???

I've never housed socolofis. I've housed a few Malawaians. When it comes to diet most of malawians prefer a veggie diet. I feed mine with spirulina flakes. A plant based food should do good. Occationally i drop in a few plants and let the fish consume them.
