ive got fry!!!!!

well i woke up this mornin to a tank full of baby guppies. unfortunetly i couldnt do much about it because i had to go to school. luckly when i got home a few had survided im setting up a fry tank now. but i still have two expecting moms!!*GOLDFISH*

Be VERY CAREFUL before you know it youll have toooooooo many fish !
guppies are very good at multiplying.

Well, he should first locate a store or place that will take extra fish. thats VERY IMPORTANT before you start breeding any livebearer.

an old friend had a 50 gal with an oscar, actually had a couple, but only one at a time in the 50gal. they really had a personality. reminded me of a dog or cat that welcomes you when you get home.
he had one for a long time , cant remember how long.

Sounds like they have the personality of a large mouth bass lol. ive never had an oscar, but ive had largemouths. they get really tame. id imagine oscars as well.

i have added another 70 frys from last it was taken...

But my big guppy die one per week.

fry bucket i do not change water for month. But again all depends..if i see them float i change 50% of bucket water.

so far 5 frys died for some reasons...not sure why...may be i hit them or try to catch some other fry got hit.

They die because theyre in a bucket, with no other way to get rid of toxic ammonia other than water changes. a cycled tank is much better.

you gotta change the water. if you see them float youve already done the damage from ammonia poisoning.
when i have fry i change fry tank water every other day.
