jack and mbuna

i have a beautiful jack dempsey who seems ok with everyone except goldfish (he likes to eat them) we're getting a 125 or 150 soon and i need to know if i can put jack in with some mbunas i have. he's larger than they are. does anyone know? ty.

I've not kept either species in question.

However from what I've read, the Jacks seem to be more laid back, where mbuna are much, much more active. I would think that all the activity the mbuna would provide in the tank that it might be too much on the Jack and stay stressed much of the time.

I don't know for sure, just a guess.

Also the jack will try to defend a definite territory which the mbuna will not recognise. Sooner or later a bloody incident will ensue.
